In short: this site has no accounts, no logins and no advertising network. The calculators run entirely in your browser and nothing you type into them is sent anywhere. If you email, that email is kept so it can be answered.
Who runs this site
Best Laser Engraver Lab (www.bestlaserengraverlab.com) is run as an independent publication. Contact: hello@bestlaserengraverlab.com.
What is collected
- Nothing you type into the tools. The material finder and the payback calculator run in JavaScript in your browser. Your inputs are never transmitted and never stored.
- Email you send. Kept so it can be replied to, and deleted when it is no longer needed.
- Standard server logs, kept by the hosting provider — IP address, browser type, pages requested. Used for security and to see which pages are read. Logs are kept only for the hosting provider’s standard retention period.
- Analytics. None. This site runs no analytics, tracking pixels or advertising scripts.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. Two third parties may set cookies, and only after you interact with them:
- Amazon. Clicking through to Amazon lets Amazon set its own cookies, including the affiliate tracking cookie. Amazon's privacy notice governs what happens after you leave this site.
- YouTube. Videos are embedded through youtube-nocookie.com and the player does not load at all until you click play. If you never press play, nothing from YouTube is loaded.
Fonts
Typefaces are served from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when a page loads.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — under GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California, for example — you can ask what personal data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@bestlaserengraverlab.com and the request will be handled within the period the applicable law requires.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and no data is knowingly collected from them.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be posted here with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the changelog on the homepage.
